In the same year we started, severe floods hit Malaysia and I lost everything in my house. Once again, the house was empty. It was a very painful and difficult time, and there were moments when continuing felt impossible. But I held on to faith. By God’s grace, we found a new place, slowly replaced the furniture, and continued caring for the children. Step by step, more children came to Agape Home, and our small beginning started to grow.
Introduction
My name is Saroja Muniandy. I was born on 3rd August 1978 in Sungai Siput, Ipoh, Perak, and I grew up in a simple and humble family. Life was not always easy, but it taught me compassion and strength. On 14th April 2017, I started Agape Home with one clear intention which is to give children with disabilities a safe and loving place they can truly call home. As the Founder, this is not just work for me; it is a calling from my heart.
The Journey
Agape Home began in a small house with only two children. We had almost nothing, no proper furniture and no basic items. I brought furniture from my own home so the children would have a bed, a table, and a comfortable place to stay. I just wanted them to feel safe and cared for.

Growth & Recognition
By 2021, Agape Home was caring for 10 to 15 children. We received government recognition, and kind donors and sponsors began supporting us. Our Facebook page helped more people learn about our home, and through that awareness, more support and encouragement came our way.
Our Vision
I believe no one should be defined by their limitations. Every child has value, potential, and a purpose.
I hope our children will grow to become an inspiration to others. Their lives show that happiness and fulfilment do not come from having everything, but from making the best of what we have.
Our Mission
At Agape Home, we turn sadness into joy and give every child a sense of belonging. We create a loving and safe environment where each person feels valued, capable, and equal.
